If you haven’t climb any mountains yet, start with Mt. Tagapo. It is a worthwhile destination especially for beginners like me. This is the first DIY event I organized since it’s accessible to our place.

01

Boat ride to Brgy. Janosa took 1 hour

On our arrival to Pritil Port we boarded a boat to Brgy. Janosa, boat fare costs 30 PHP (as of January 2016).

02

Registration at Base Camp

We register for a climb at the Base Camp, it costs 20 PHP, and we asked for a tour guide, tour guide fee costs 300 PHP.

03

On the way to the summit of Mt. Tagapo

It’s a rocky road along the way, there’s lots of bamboo trees surrounding this mountain. But on the way to the summit tall grasses surrounded the area. Just refrain from holding the grasses for it might scratch you.

04

Panoramic view of Laguna de Bay and its surrounding mountains at the peak of Mt. Tagapo
